Lee Doxey has been an advocate for preschool education throughout her years in education. She began her tenure with Richmond Public Schools in 2007 as a teacher at J. L. Francis Elementary School where she taught first - third grades. Before being named Principal of Summer Hill Preschool, Ms. Doxey served as the Disabilities Coordinator for the RPS Early Head Start and Head Start programs, as a private preschool director and preschool teacher in Virginia Beach, and taught Head Start in Hawaii. She holds a master’s degree in Educational Administration from Grand Canyon University, a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Hawaii at Manoa, and received her teaching credential from Old Dominion University. She is thrilled to be part of the Summer Hill Community and excited to watch the Tiny Tigers ROAR into kindergarten readiness.

 

Mrs. Tyler is very excited to join the Tiger Family! 

She brings over 16 years of educational experience to Summer Hill Preschool, having served in roles such as Assistant Principal, Instructional Coach, Title I Reading Teacher, and classroom educator for grades Kindergarten through 4th. A proud graduate of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a Master’s in Elementary Education. Additionally, she holds a Post-Master’s Certificate in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from the University of Richmond.

Together as a team, Mrs. Tyler is committed to partnering with teachers, parents, and community members to provide students with meaningful experiences that prepare the Tiny Tigers for kindergarten readiness.
