Message from the Principal

We are so excited to welcome our Tiny Tigers in the morning! Thank you to everyone who came to Orientation on Friday afternoon. The first week or so of school can be a little hectic until we all get into the flow of things, so please bring your patience and understanding. We will do the best we can to make sure all students arrive at school and home safely.

Be sure to scroll down for fun videos and important information about RPS and Preschool.

Here are a few reminders to help this week run smoothly:
  • The car lane begins on Alexander Avenue and flows around the back of the school, where staff members will receive your child at either the blue or orange door.
  • We will begin Kiss and Drop on the first day of school using the car lane. We promise that even if there are tears in the drop-off lane, we will care for your little ones as if they are our own. Before you know it, those tears will be smiles.
  • Be sure to place the large car tag on your mirror so that we can see your child's name and teacher's name.
  • Complete all of the emergency information sheets and be sure that your child has the information tag on his or her backpack.
  • Put the orange or blue ID bracelet on your child's wrist in the morning. Make sure the teacher's name and the child's name are written on the bracelet.
  • If your child is riding the bus on the first day, be sure that the child has an emergency contact card on their backpack and their ID bracelet on their wrist.
  • If you did not receive a transportation email, we encourage you to bring your child to school until we know they are routed by the transportation department.
  • Dismissal begins at 2:15 p.m. Remember to have your car tag visible to staff to make pickup go quickly.
  • Again, bring your patience, please
