Summer Hill Preschool will ensure that early literacy, early mathematic, and social-emotional skills are developed by addressing the unique needs of its culturally diverse preschool population to guarantee students are prepared to ROAR to success in Kindergarten and beyond.<>

Learn More About Us

Acquired by annexation in 1942, Summer Hill School was named for its community. Originally a 1919 four-room building, it saw brick additions in 1937 and further expansion in 1951 and 1984. In 2016, it transitioned to a Preschool Center. It currently houses 13 Early Childhood Education classrooms, including Head Start, Early Childhood Special Education, and VPI programs for three and four-year-olds.
